When you arrive at the airport, you will be picked up by your local guide and then be transferred to a hotel. Shenzhen is your first stop of your Visa Free Tour to Shenzhen. Lying in the south of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen is one of the central cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, covering 1,997.47 square kilometers. With a permanent resident population of 17,560,061, Shenzhen is also a national logistics pivot, comprehensive national science center, and national financial center. As for the specialties in Shenzhen, the oyster is most mentioned, especially the Shajing oyster which is plump and whose meat is tender. Since Shenzhen is located in the south of China with a warmer temperature than other places in northern China, lychee is also a famous specialty of Shenzhen for its succulency and sweetness.
In the morning, you will visit Happy Valley of Shenzhen, covering 350,000 square meters. There are various amusement facilities, such as carousel, roller coaster, sea rover, bumper car, and so on. Anything you want to play can be found in Happy Valley of Shenzhen. Taking the Large Pendulum, for example, it consists of a giant pendulum where visitors can sit on a pedestal. The amplitude of swing of the jumbo even surpassed 115 degrees! Every visitor is anchored to the seat of the pendulum that rotates. Thus, visitors can experience the swing while enjoying the rotation. The strong sense of weightlessness and visual stimulation brought by the entertainment facility makes it the most thrilling and horrible facility in Happy Valley of Shenzhen. Moreover, there are various performances at different periods, such as magic shows, tunnel warfare, samba show, and so on.
After lunch, you are scheduled to visit Splendid China Folk Village which is a theme park displaying miniatures of China’s well-known mountains and rivers as well as locations of ancient cultural legacy. The ratio of scenic spots, historical sites, and natural landscapes to real scenes is 1:15 for most of them, 1:10 or 1:8 for some of them, and 1:1 for the largest one. Since the attractions of the park are arranged according to the scientific layout of China, you will feel as if you are walking on a huge map of China during your visit. Over 50,000 ceramic figures are placed in all scenic spots. It is exactly plenty of ceramic figures that the Splendid China Folk Village is also called Lilliput. Walking into the folk culture village, you will accidentally become the bridegroom of the story, Ashima's hometown, in Yi (a Chinese minority) village. The story ofAshima's hometown mainly is about a girl named Ashima fighting against a moneybag with strong power who always did bad things. It is said that Ashima was compelled to marry the son of the moneybag though she had been engaged in her childhood sweetheart before. Hearing the news, her sweetheart called A Hei came to rescue Ashima. Finally, they beat the moneybag and his son. After passing the Yi village, you will enter the Dai (a Chinese minority) village. If you are careless when walking, you will get wet in the water-splashing festival.
Next, you will go to Window of the World, covering 480,000 square meters. All the scenic spots in the Window of the World are built in a certain ratio according to the real buildings. The Global Stage is composed of more than 40 mobile parts which could make the stage arbitrarily combine or splice. If you don’t have time to see the Taj Mahal mausoleum, you can have a chance to see the miniature one in the Window of the World. It was built in the 17th century by Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor of India, to memorize his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. As one of the seven architectural wonders of the world, the 60-meter-high white marble palace is decorated with pearls, gemstones, and carved marble. Many other scenic spots waiting for you to explore.
Afterward, you will be sent back to the hotel.
In the morning, you will visit Tanglangshan Park located in the northeast of Nanshan District. With a forest coverage rate of 87%, Tanglangshan Park is rich in animal resources and forest resources. Since the construction of the Liyun mountaineering path and Chaxiangjing mountaineering path has been completed in the early stage of the park, it is convenient for tourists to climb the mountain. The Liyun Climbing Trail leads from Longzhu Gate to the peak of Tanglang Mountain, with a length of 1.8 km. The 4.5km Chaxiangjing Trail leads from Tanglang Mountain to Menlinshan Park along the ridge of Tanglang Mountain. Thus, if you are fond of climbing mountains, it is a good choice to go along the two trails to the peak and enjoy the fabulous scenery along the way. Standing on the top of Tanglang Mountain, you can overlook Wutong Mountain, Jigong Mountain in the east, the Pearl River mouth, Yangtai Mountain in the northwest, and Luo Lake to the fore. The enchanting scenery will make you forget the toil of mountaineering, and you will feel anything deserves.
Next, you will go to Shenzhen Mangrove Nature Reserve which is a plant community mainly composed of mangrove plants, named for its reddish trunk. Not only will you see sea lacquer, wood olive, autumn eggplant, and other rare species, but also see all kinds of birds for it is also a migratory habitat and stopover point for birds from the Eastern Hemisphere to hibernate. Consequently, you can see scenery that sunlit clouds fly with waterfowl. After the heavy rain, the river water seems to be unusually full. From a distance, the river seems to be connected with the sky.
After lunch, you will visit OCT Harbour, located in the core of Shenzhen Bay business circle. Covering an area of about 1,250,000 square meters, it is an urban entertainment destination integrating culture, ecology, tourism, entertainment, shopping, catering, hotels, clubs, and other diversified formats. The shopping center in OCT Harbour is the only modern one, built with environmental protection and ecological concept. There are many famous brands in the shopping center, such as Watsons, PEACE BIRD, O.C.E., Li Ning, and so on. If you get tired to shop, you can go to see the jellyfish theme exhibition area which is the largest one in the world, and the living coral theme exhibition area which is the largest one in China, for a rest. From my perspective, the most interesting scenic spot is the OCT Creative Exhibition Center in the northeast corner of the shopping center, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. The architectural inspiration of its unique appearance comes from the water drop and pebble symbolizing the ocean. Its natural round shape and flowing space design, all of which exude a simple, modern, and natural flowing temperament. The pressure-sensing lighting system adopted by OCT Creative Exhibition Center is most admirable. It can be changed automatically according to the number of visitors, creating a completely different day and night effect.
Then you will pay a visit to Dong Men Pedestrian Street with a history of 300 years. Entering the Dong Men Pedestrian Street from its west entrance, you will see the restored archaized architectural complex, including Guanghua Tower, Wenshan Tower, Yueming Tower, and Xihua Palace. What is interesting is that Ronald McDonald and Grandpa KFC also stand in Chinese ancient buildings, showing the combination of Chinese and Western elements. Besides, there are several snacks you must try! The roasted oysters with garlic are cooked with oyster and garlic. The fresh oyster and spicy garlic cause a unique flavor. The roast spring pigeon is also worth trying, which has crispy skin and tender meat. Taking a bite will leave you with a deep impression.
At last, you will be transferred to the hotel.
Today, you can do anything you want and you can explore some new spots or leisure activities. Outdoor barbecue will be an inviting choice. You can go to the near beach to pick up some seafood, such as crab, shrimp, razor clam, and so on. Maybe if you are lucky enough, you can pick up an octopus, cuttlefish, or something else. After preparing these ingredients, you can enjoy the process of barbecue. Afterward, you can play beach volleyball with your friends or enjoy your leisure time with a beer.
Today, it is time to say goodbye and you will be sent to the airport. Your guide will help you with boarding pass and baggage check-in. Your services end here and hope to see you next time.
