Classic Hong Kong Kung Fu Tour

In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and then take you to Hong Kong Heritage Museum (closed each Tuesday) for a special exhibition – Bruce Lee: Kung Fu · Art · Life. As a famous actor and Kung Fu master, Bruce Lee opened the eyes of the Western world to Chinese Kung Fu. Covering an area of 850 square meters, this special exhibition displays more than 600 invaluable items of Bruce Lee from local and overseas collectors. It comprehensively presents Bruce Lee’s personal life, films, and Kung Fu achievements. Among these exhibition items, the classic yellow suit Bruce Lee ever wore in the film Game of Death, and the nunchakus and the sandbag he ever used are on display. The exhibition also has restored the major scenes from Bruce Lee’s classic Kung Fu movies, such as the martial arts gym in the film Fist of Fury, and the mirror wall in the film Enter the Dragon. These films are the most famous of Bruce Lee and you’d better see them before you attend this exhibition. Through this special exhibition, you will gain a comprehensive and in-depth insight into his achievements and contributions during his short life as a legend.

Then you will take a Kung Fu Class to learn some traditional Kung Fu skills. You will be taught by a professional Kung Fu teacher, who has the same Kung Fu master with Bruce Lee. You will learn some basic and practical Kung Fu moves and kicks. After this Kung Fu Class, you will amaze your family members and friends. You can also take some pictures and post them on your social media. Maybe you will receive lots of thumbs-ups and followers.

After lunch, you will go along Hong Kong Avenue of Stars to see Bruce Lee’s statute. The entire bronze statue is 2.5 meters high and weighs more than 500 kilograms. The bronze statue is in a pose of practicing Jeet Kune Do (a kind of Kung Fu boxing created by Bruce Lee), vivid and lifelike. It took nearly five months to complete the entire statue. The statue of Bruce Lee has been erected here not only because of his great contributions to the film industry and Kung Fu but also because of his everlasting charm. It attracts lots of tourists as well as Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu fans to visit Hong Kong every year.

The last attraction of your tour is Temple Street. The Temple Street was named after the Tin Hau Temple that was built in the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912). Now it is the most popular night market street among local people, which condenses the most authentic Hong Kong atmosphere. There is a variety of stores on both sides of Temple Street, selling clothes, glasses, watches, accessories, and old paintings. You can negotiate with the dealers about the price to practice your bargaining skills. Tourists also like to come here to taste local food. I strongly recommend you to taste the clay pot rice and spicy crab. What’s more, it is also one of the hottest places for film shooting in Hong Kong, such as God of Cookery starring and directed by Stephen Chow, and Mean Street Story starring Ekin Cheng. In a word, it is the perfect place for you to experience old Hong Kong lifestyles.
