Day 1 Beijing
Visit Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Beijing Oriental Pearl Golf Club

In the morning, your tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Tian’anmen Square. Tian’anmen Square is located at the city center of Beijing with a length of 880 meters and a width of 500 meters. With a total area of 440,000 square meters, it can accommodate about 1 million people for grand gatherings here. Tian’anmen Square has witnessed the development of China and Chinese people’s relentless efforts in pursuing their dreams. Many important political and historical events happened here. For example, on July 1st, 2021, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China was celebrated at Tian’anmen Square. The Great Hall of the People with an area of 170, 100 square meters lies in the west of Tian’anmen Square. Most of the political, diplomatic, and cultural events are held here. Besides, you can also visit Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, which was built in memory of the former Chinese leaders and thank them for their contributions to the People’s Republic of China by some pictures, documents, and material objects. Going ahead you will see Monument to People’s Heroes. The monument was built to commemorate the heroes who sacrificed their lives during the wars with our enemies, for national independence and people’s freedom as well as happiness since 1840. In 1949, the government decided to build this monument. It was designed by Liang Sicheng, a famous architect of China. The Monument to People’s Heroes was carved from 17,000 granites and white marbles, with a height of 37 meters. Then there is the National Museum of China that stands opposite the Great Hall of People. It used to be the Chinese History and Revolution Museum, integrating collection, exhibition, research, archaeology, public education, and cultural communication. By now, it has collected more than 1 million exhibits, such as one of the 12 bronze heads of animals which belonged to the Old Summer Palace, and Jade Clothes Sewn with Gold Threads made in the Han Dynasty(202 BC-220)

Your next stop will be the Forbidden City (closed each Monday). The Forbidden City was a royal palace in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1636-1912) Dynasties. The Forbidden City mainly consists of two parts, the Outer Court and Inner Court. The Outer Court is centered by Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Central Harmony, and Hall of Preserving Harmony. The Inner Court is constructed around the Hall of Union, Palace of Heavenly Purity, and Palace of Earthly Tranquility. The Inner Court is where emperors and their concubines live. The Palace of Earthly Tranquility was built in 1420 and was rebuilt in 1645. It was the Empress’s palace in the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Kangxi, Tongzhi, and Guangxu chose this palace to get married. In 2014, when staff in the Forbidden City tried to repair a painting hung on the wall of this palace, they found a couplet behind it. After investigation, scholars thought the couplets were written by Emperor Xianfeng, which made them of great research significance. If time permits, you can have a walk in the gardens of the Forbidden City. There are four gardens here. The biggest one is the Imperial Garden. Various pavilions and open halls represent the creativity of Chinese laborers. There is a special rock inside the garden, Taihu Rock, which originally belonged to the Old Summer Palace, but somehow was abandoned in a factory. A consultant of the Forbidden City knew about it and brought it here. Now it is exquisitely arranged inside the garden.

After lunch, we will drive to Beijing Oriental Pearl Golf Club. We will drive northeast for about an hour and 40 minutes to the club, which is 55 kilometers away. Beijing Oriental Pearl Golf Club opened in 2006 with an area of 866,666 square meters. This club is a perfect combination of natural scenery and artificial landscapes. Rambling around the playfield, you will feel the designer’s efforts to provide the best experience for you. The interlaced streams and trees around will bring you a moment of calmness. After your playing, your tour guide will accompany you to the hotel. I hope your gold tour will refresh you and bring you an unparalleled experience.

Note: if this playfield is not available, we will change other equivalent playfields for you.
