Jingdong Grand Canyon

The Jingdong Grand Canyon, a national AAAA-level scenic spot, is located in a folk village that is 20 km northeast of Pinggu District, Beijing. The canyon is composed of two scenic spots: the Grand Canyon and Jingtai Mountain, which are connected by roads and ropeways. 
 

The amazing ropeway is as long as 1,000 meters dropping about 420 meters. Also, the Jingdong Scenic Area built a 518-meter-long glass sky-walk in 2016. It is a comprehensive landscape site for its hills, canyon, lakes, and dip pools.
 

The Jingdong Grand Canyon is famous for its stream, two special sites, three flying-phoenix terraces, four viewing platforms, five dip pools, and other six playing attractions. From a crater lake in the canyon, the stream flows into Longmen Lake in the mouth of the canyon connecting the five dip pools, respectively named Astounding Pool, Risking Pool, Odd Pool, Inspiring Pool, and Loud Pool. 
 

In four seasons, tourists will enjoy distinctive scenery. In spring, you may watch flowers and hear birds singing; when it comes to summer, you may breathe cool air; in fall, you may see the whole scenery turning red; in winter, you may amaze at the frozen waterfalls.

The waterfall runs from a crater lake in the mountain top dropping over 30 meters. It is famous for its three flows. Because of its height, the speed is so fast that the waterfall will bounce up and falls again, so the three flows are the original falling, the bouncing, and the last falling.

 Longmen Lake

The Longmen Lake covers an area of 40 thousand square meters with a volume of 70 thousand cubic meters. The water is from rains, ice, and snow, cater lakes, waterfalls, springs, dip pools, and streams. It is an enjoyable boating place.

Warm Tips

There are some picking gardens in the Yuzishan Folk Tourism Village. You can pick up peaches, apricots, pears, apples, and plums, etc., if you like, and take part in some rural activities enjoying the fun of harvest.

Accommodation

You can also decide on a two-day trip to the Jingdong Grand Canyon and the nearby scenic spots in the Yuzishan Folk Tourism Village. You may first visit Jingdong Karst cave or Jinhai Lake, and have accommodation in the village in the evening enjoying homemade dishes, such as roast whole lamb, and baked rainbow trout. The next morning, you can visit the Grand Canyon and Jingtai Mountain.

Take bus Pinggu 12, get off at the Jingdong Grand Canyon Station.

Take bus Pinggu 39, and get off at the Beizhai Station.

Take bus Pinggu 35, and get off at Nancha Station.

There are no subways to Jingdong Grand Canyon.
